Letters from the Author: September 2020
t's been a long while since I've posted, and I'm really sorry! To tell the truth, I've been finding myself being burned out recently. Between my full-time studies, part-time work, novel writing, and making time for family, I left this blog at the bottom of my priority list. And it's not what I wanted to do. I'm going to keep pushing for this, but I just thought I should provide an explanation as to why I've been disappearing recently.
Fortunately, I've been able to work on my manuscript, that being one of the things keeping me motivated right now. I've been using a free program called artbreeder.com to create some of my characters in my untitled fantasy story, featuring a group of teenage mages in a world being transformed by democracy and political intrigue.
Artbreeder allows you to merge images together and create your own. It's an excellent way to visualise characters you've had in your mind for a while!
Here are some of their concepts below:
In any event, I'll keep plugging away at this!
